LARK Distilling co. is seeking a passionate, energetic and enthusiastic Bar Manager to lead our world class beverage offering at our inner-Hobart venue, The Still. Housed in the iconic Mercury print room on Argyle St, The Still is a cocktail bar, pop-up dining space and a temple to Tasmanian whisky and gin.
Open 7 days a week, The Still is a stylish and immersive space aimed at showcasing our Lark whisky and Forty Spotted Gin range and sharing our passion for everything Tasmanian.

The Role:
We are after an outgoing, experienced and hands-on Bar Manager who is passionate about Tasmania and Tasmanian spirits with proven experience creating bespoke cocktails and crafting great drinks menus.
You’ll be expected to drive the full beverage offering which includes a deep Tasmanian whisky list, retail offering, award-winning experiences and a rotating cocktail list. You will be people-focused ensuring team skills and knowledge are constantly improving and that guest experience is world class.
You will be creative and detail-focused, making sure that the presentation of drinks, retail displays and menus are always in line with brand standards. And you have a strong focus on process and procedures to ensure accuracy in programming, recipes and stock handling. But most importantly, you have an infectious enthusiasm for drinks which you pass onto the team and customers.
Our ideal candidate is someone with:
· A keen eye for detail and a laser-focus on delivering high standards and exceptional guest experience
· A creative approach to drinks and drink creation grounded in the classics
· A hands-on approach, leading from the front and ensuring your team understand what exceptional looks like every day
· A passion for Tasmania and the Tasmanian distilling industry
· Exceptional stakeholder management skills and a collaborative mindset
· A passion for developing people
· 2+ years in hospitality management
Key Responsibilities:
· Daily service
· Management support, team training and people development
· Drinks creation, menu updates and retail displays
· Running whisky tastings and experiences
· Ordering, inventory management and monthly stocktake
· Responding to enquiries and bookings
· Event set up and execution
· Hosting VIPs and private clients
