About the Role
Joining our team in this opportunity will see you provide comprehensive customer focused service to our doctors being responsible for all bookings for our 20 Main Operating Theatres. This role reports directly into the Peri-Operative Manager and will be critical to the successful operation of theatre complex and providing a high-quality experience for our doctors and patients.
Key responsibilities of this job include:
- Responsibility of delivery the daily Operating Theatre List
- Timely and accurate management of doctor enquiries in relation to Operating Lists and Theatre requirements including proactive management of doctor leave
- Responsible for providing administrative support and assistance to the Peri-Operative Manager
- Work alongside medical staff and colleagues to ensure a smooth hospital experience for patients
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have prior experience working as a medical administrator you must be able to work Monday to Friday between 7:00am to 19:00pm. You will enjoy working in a high performing team and where no two days are the same. You will display an unwavering commitment to delivering customer service excellence each and every time and understand how to leave our customers with a professional and positive impression of our site, all in line with our Ramsay Core Values.
In addition, you will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate the ability to manage conflicting priorities. You will also have exceptional communication skills both verbally and in writing with the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders at all levels to achieve positive outcomes.
You will also demonstrate:
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
- Intermediate-advanced skills utilising the Microsoft office suite with ability to maintain data entry accuracy.
- Previous experience in Theatre Bookings or surgical medical administration
- Proven ability to work in a customer service focused environment
- Previous experience in a bookings coordination role (Desirable)
- Certificate in Medical Terminology (Desirable)
- Experience in hospital mainframe systems (Desirable)
Remuneration
Per hour Clerk Grade 5 year 1 - $35.34 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

Requirements
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
