Monash Medical Centre (MMC) has 9 operating theatres and cater for a wide range of surgical specialties including Neurosurgery, Upper GI surgery, Vascular surgery, Thoracic surgery, Ophthal surgery, Obstetrics, Gynaecology surgery, Colorectal, ENT surgery, Faciomaxillary surgery. Monash Children's Hospital (MCH) has 4 main operating theatres and a procedure room and cater for a wide range of paediatric surgical specialties including Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery, General, Plastics, Dental, ENT, Faciomaxillary, Urology and Endoscopy.
About the role:
Theatre Technician:
Full-Time Ongoing (Shift Roster)
Theatre – MMC Clayton and MCH Clayton
We are seeking self motivated, enthusiastic Operating Theatre Technician; holding a Certificate III & IV in Health Service Assistance (Operating Theatre Technical Support).
The successful applicant will be required to work as a member of a professional multi-disciplinary collaborative team.
Key attributes should include:
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently and autonomously without instruction
- Ability to undertake and fulfill all physical aspects of the position demonstrating effective lifting and positioning skills
- Ability to be flexible within a changing environment
- Ability to help with training and mentoring when requested
