Therapeutic Disability Support Worker - (SIL) Permanent Part Time

Our ideal candidate has experience working with individuals who have been significantly impacted by trauma and who is reliable and consistent in all aspects of their care and support. We are looking for someone who can evaluate situations from a trauma-informed perspective and act in a way that enhances the lives of our participants and reduces the impact of trauma.
As an empathic person who is a great listener our ideal candidate will be able to build independence and capacity in participants with psychosocial disability, intellectual disability and or mental health needs. Honesty and integrity are important to us, and we're looking for someone with a proven track record of displaying these values in their workplace.
You may have previously worked as a Disability Support Worker, Residential Care Worker, Youth Worker, or Family Support Worker in the community services sector or in a similar role working with youth and families in Out of Home Care. You may have also been employed working with people with Disability under the NDIS in their homes or out in the community. A minimum Certificate 3 in a related sector is highly regarded.
Excellent communication and writing skills are also essential, as well as proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, and Teams. The ability to do shift work and in-home sleepovers - including weekends and public holidays, with a willingness to travel to different locations as required - is also essential.
