We strive to lead the change in the way Australians think about ageing, recognising ‘old age’ as a positive force in society and giving a voice to those who have seen it all and live to tell the tale.We are seeking qualified Therapy Assistants to join the team at Bethanie Dalyellup Aged Care Home on a variety of permanent part time and casual rosters. Bethanie Dalyellup is our newest site and will grow into a 120 bed state-of-the-facility offering 24 hour care for people with diverse needs including dementia, palliative care and other high care requirements.The successful applicants would be available to work across the following shifts, with the permanent part time roster to be discussed at interview:
- 9.30am or 10.30am - 5.30pm
- 10am - 3pm
- Implement therapy and lifestyle programs for groups and individual residents
- Adapt activities to resident’s level of function under the guidance of a Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist
- Address physical and psychological needs and provide opportunities for meaningful engagement for residents
- Maintain accurate documentation, both paper and computer based
- Previous experience in a Therapy Assistant role, ideally in an aged care or other health care environment
- Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent)
- Experience working with residents with dementia would be an advantage
- Ability to communicate clearly in both a verbal and written capacity with care recipients, families and team members
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as individually
- Willingness to uphold the vision, mission and values of The Bethanie Group
- A current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain one
