Tooling Contracts Controller

Working with state-of-the-art equipment, our shared commitment to professional excellence continues to keep our customers safe.In this role of Tooling Contracts Controller, you will work in a team that will include a combination of tooling buyers, asset managers and procurement specialists to establish the engineering Aircraft tooling and GSE asset life-cycle objectives in order to support the business. In this role, you will develop and manage strategies that ensures value for money, appropriate levels of commercial value, safety standards and compliance under Asset Management ISO 55000. This is a great opportunity to create business cases, execute contracts and service level agreements, develop asset capital investment strategies and control asset maintenance spend, with a focus on ensuring timelines and budgets are achieved.The role will also work with Senior Management to ensure that an appropriate Strategy is established that sets out how Qantas will deliver value in the short and long term and contribute to the Group Supplier relationship Management strategy.Your duties and responsibilities will also include:Build and justify engineering asset business cases for asset purchases and procurement processesBuild budget forecasts for engineering assets in alignment with national and international operational demandsBuild strategies to sell engineering assets and manage aftermarket buyersSupport commercial negotiations and identify new commercial strategies.Work with technical, commercial and finance management, and through Cross-Functional Teams, providing regular updates to the stakeholders and engineering leadersSupport the creation and management of procurement strategies, analysis data, and undertaking supplier negotiation ensuring appropriate contracts and SLA’s are put in place.To be successful in this role you will have:Proven ability in multi-disciplinary technical and procurement processes.Have commercial acumen and experience in managing suppliers and operational business leaders.Good communication and relationship management skills.5-10+ years’ experience in aviation industryExperience and understanding in asset management and driving change management.Leadership experience.Commitment to achieving an effective cost base whilst driving operational efficiencies.Why Qantas?You’ll join a team where creativity and passion are encouraged.
