The Financial Controller position will report directly to the CFO and manage up to 3 direct reports. Proven Financial Controller experience is required with the ability to start immediately and the opportunity for the role to go permanent.
The executive management team is very strong, the board is cohesive and they share a clear strategic direction for future growth.
The Challenge
The role will be challenging and exciting as you work as the 2IC to an experienced CFO and will be directly involved in technical accounting matters as well influencing process improvement initiatives.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing a team of 3 direct reports covering financial reporting, tax, treasury, as well as managing an offshore AP and AR team
- Ensuring the preparation of timely financial and management reports for the company
- Taking a lead role in driving improvements in systems and processes throughout the company
- Review and advise on technical accounting standards notably IFRS-16
- Planning and directing the company's strategic long term financial goals while evaluating existing plans
- Creating and maintaining an effective management performance framework for the company
- Coordinating all tax, audit matters and reporting matters
- Taking a lead role in driving improvements in systems and processes throughout the company
It is a given that you will be a top tier finance executive with a proven background in finance as a Financial Controller or Head of Finance. You are:
- An experienced finance executive that is immediately available. Ideally you have worked in the real estate/property sector and be comfortable working with C-Suite executives
- Possibly, an experienced finance executive who began your career with KPMG, EY, Deloitte or PwC before progressing your career to be a a Group Financial Controller in a large corporate or GM of Finance/Finance Director in a mid-sized company working within the property sector and are looking to take a step into a larger group
