Tools Engineer

Overview

We are looking for a Tools Engineer to join our talented team in developing games for PC, Console, Mobile and XR. You will help bring our games to the next level by joining a team that holds the player’s experience at the core of its mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with live services teams to uphold and enhance tools for ongoing game updates, events, and community engagement
• Systematically troubleshoot and resolve tool-related issues impacting live game operations.
• Innovate and implement improvements to existing tools, optimizing development processes and efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with the development team to identify and address issues within legacy systems.
• Provide robust support for tools utilized in previous game projects, ensuring their sustained functionality and compatibility with contemporary platforms.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for tools, workflows, and best practices.
• Engage in collaborative efforts with cross-functional teams, including game developers, QA, and production, to gather requirements and address specific tool needs.

What you bring to the role

• Proven experience as a Tools/Unity Engineer in the game development industry.
• Proficiency in Unity & C#
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Lua, or similar.
• Experience with maintaining and enhancing tools for legacy systems and live services.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Familiarity with game development pipelines and workflows
