About the opportunity:
Seeking a results-driven Tosca Automation Test Analyst for a long-term contract opportunity within a federal government department.
You will be responsible for designing and executing automated tests against export clearance software to assess the function and nonfunctional properties of the software, and to identify defects and regression issues introduced with new features, commodity migration, and sustainment activities (defect fixes, patches and software upgrades).
You should have a strong in-depth knowledge of software and test design, the capability to develop test cases and test datasets using the Tricentis Tosca toolset, and the ability to analyze, record, and progress the results in Azure DevOps.
Duties:
• Develop automated test cases and associated datasets, will integrate the tests into Azure DevOps pipelines, and execute test pipelines, analysed test reports, and record and investigate defects for failed scenarios.
• Develop tests (and associated test datasets) using the Tricentis Tosca toolset to assess the functional and nonfunctional properties of export clearance software built using .Net, Java and Oracle technologies.
• Develop tests using a range of API testing tools to assess the functional and nonfunctional properties of export clearance digital services (APIs) and integrations.
• Integrate tosca test cases into Azure DevOps Pipelines and execute those pipelines.
• Perform defect management activities.
• Root cause analysis of defects identified during test execution.
• Participate in Agile activities including sprint planning, daily standups, playbacks, and sprint reporting.
• Produce and maintain high-quality and detailed test artefacts.
• Report to product and delivery managers regarding the status of testing activities.
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated the following experience:
• At least 3 years’ designing, developing, and implementing automation tests using test automation tools including Tricentis Tosca.
• Developing automation tests for REST and SOAP APIs using tools such as Postman, SOAP-UI and CURL.
• Developing artefacts to support test automation development and execution, including but not limited to test strategies, plans, reports, and test data sets.
• Integrating automation tests into CI/CD pipelines, using tools such as Azure DevOps Pipelines, Jenkins, or GitHub.
