SALARY: $1,646.49 - 2,082.44 pw + Super
This is a grade range position, therefore in accordance with qualifications, accreditation, experience and demonstrated skills, the prospective employee will be assessed between Grade 14 to 16.

Essential:
Tertiary qualifications in town planning or a closely related field
A demonstrated working knowledge of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, including experience
in the assessment, processing and reporting of development proposals
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Highly developed time management skills and the ability to manage high workloads
Negotiation and dispute resolution skills and a demonstrated ability to make decisions
Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to liaise with all levels of internal and external customers
Ability to represent Council in legal cases
Desirable:
Experience in urban release area / growth area development assessment
Experience in presentations to internal and external stakeholders (for example, regional and local planning panels)
To meet Council's WHS requirements and in accordance with Council's Covid-19 Safety Plans, this position has been identified via risk assessment to be required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or provide evidence of an approved medical contraindication. If a medical contraindication certificate is provided, it will be assessed against a risk assessment and the decision of whether Council accepts the medical contraindication certificate, will be based on operational needs.
