We are recruiting for a well-established and reputable manufacturing company located in Southwest Sydney. They are seeking skilled and motivated individuals to fill the positions of Trade Assistants who has a strong mechanical aptitude. As a Trade Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our experienced team of Maintenance professionals, contributing to the smooth operations of our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.
Your new role
Operate production machinery and assist the maintenance team and engineers in carrying out maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment.
Perform tasks such as equipment cleaning, lubrication, and parts replacement under the guidance of experienced technicians.
Monitor machinery and report any issues or abnormalities to the maintenance team promptly.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work environment.
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience as a Trade Assistant in a FMCG environment is preferred.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Tig & Mig welding experience.
- Forklift licence.
- A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to follow instructions closely.
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing work demands.
- Previous experience working with hand tools and production machinery
