Trades Assistant

Flavorite Hydroponic Tomatoes requires 1 horticultural trade assistant for the maintenance of plant and equipment in glasshouses in Victoria, Mansfield. Four years of work is expected to commence May 2024. No previous experience is necessary. Candidates should be motivated and be able to learn quickly and work with accuracy. Work is in hot and humid conditions, at heights, doing repetitive tasks. Candidates must not be colour blind or get motion sickness. Duties include and all training will be provided:

• Assist with the maintenance of plant, equipment and buildings as specified on the work order.
• Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance.
• Operation of maintenance equipment.

Successful candidate will be required for 7am starts, working individually and in teams. Candidate must be available Friday to Tuesday over the weekends and some public holidays. Successful candidates will be offered employment on a fulltime hourly rate under Horticultural Award 2020, Level 4 and will be provided with 38 hours of work per week and be available for additional hours per week where required.
