The Role
Our Trades Assistant / Detailer will be responsible for detailing customer and dealer-owned machinery and performing basic repairs on customer and dealer-owned John Deere equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform detailing, repairs and alterations on new and used equipment offered for sale by the dealership
- Operate and maintain vehicles, tools and equipment
- Complete the required forms for work assignments
- Participates in service training programs to maintain knowledge of the John Deere product
- Completes accurate time cards and accounts for all material used in performing an assigned job
The Ideal Candidate
- 1+ year's experience in detailing and performing service repairs
- Ability to operate vehicles and equipment for the purpose of repairs
- Experience in following Technical Manual Procedures
- Proficient oral and written communication skills
- Valid driver's license (required) and forklift license (desired)
- Experience in the safe handling of chemicals
- Ability to maintain a clean workspace
