We work and advocate for our community, being innovative, future-focused and responsive and apply these same principles to the way we work with each other every day.Every person working for Brimbank City Council shares our aspiration to make our City the best it can be!We are currently seeking a Full Time Permanent staff member to join our team based at our offices in Sunshine.The role Reporting to the Coordinator Traffic and Transport, we are seeking a qualified Traffic and Transport Engineer who will be responsible for reviewing and providing comments on traffic, transport and parking related issues, assessing and providing comments on town planning applications and investigating the effectiveness of transport related projects.To be considered you will have:Relevant experience in providing specialist advice on traffic related matters to the Statutory and Strategic Planning Departments.Relevant experience in undertaking and preparing Local Area Traffic Management studies.Demonstrated knowledge or experience in advocating for funding consideration from Government originations to improve road safety and moveability.Relevant experience in preparing concept plans and business cases for the implementation of traffic calming devices.Current Driver's Licence.Local government experience is desirableBenefits of working at Brimbank include:Rostered day off fortnightly36 hour working week Flexible work practices including hybrid working arrangements 16 days of personal leave per year (FTE) 16 weeks paid parental leave (FTE) 3 weeks partner leave Make a positive impact to your local communityA Position Description for this role is attached.
