The ACEREZ consortium, which includes the ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV), has been appointed Preferred Proponent to design and construct the transmission line infrastructure for the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (CWO REZ), as part of Australia’s energy transition, outlined in the NSW Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap.
The new transmission infrastructure, which will combine high-capacity transmission lines, energy hubs and related infrastructure, will enable generators such as solar and wind farms and energy storage providers in the CWO REZ to connect to the electricity grid, providing a reliable supply of clean, affordable electricity for households and businesses across NSW while helping to meet the state’s newly legislated Net Zero targets.
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Traffic Manager to join our team on Central West Orana Project. The selected candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of project transport systems while adhering to Australian Standards and Main Roads Codes of Practice. This role requires expertise in assessing and designing complex traffic management plans, conducting pre-planning and risk assessments, and overseeing the progressive stages of long-term projects.
Specific Tasks Include
- Ensure the smooth operation of project transport systems.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of Australian Standards and Main Roads Codes of Practice.
- Assess and design complex traffic management plans.
- Conduct pre-planning and risk assessments.
- Oversee and manage the progressive stages of long-term projects.
- Utilize negotiation skills to obtain permits and foster relationships with relevant authorities.
- Ensure timely rostering and job arrangements for the Traffic Management team, meeting regulatory specifications.
- Engage in construction work and building services to maintain facilities appropriately.
- Perform all tasks associated with Traffic Management as required by the project.
- Supervise and lead the day-to-day activities of the Traffic Management team.
- Maintain accurate daily activity sheets, authorizing modifications to traffic management schemes as needed.
- Layout Traffic Management schemes in accordance with basic rules, derived from generic traffic control diagrams.
- Conduct site checks and monitor traffic behaviour to uphold safety standards.
