Due to our continuous building of strengths and the natural growth that this comes with, we are now ready to expand our already streamlined and functioning team and are seeking an Operations Manager with proven track record.
TTC currently serves a diverse range of clients, ranging from private, small to large businesses from many industries, government corporations within the building and construction industry within NSW, and our client base expands daily.
What you'll do
Reporting to directly to the Managing Director, you role responsibilities will typically include:
- Overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth functioning of traffic control activities, and coordinating with various teams and departments.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards, implementing safety protocols, and conducting regular safety audits and inspections.
- Efficiently allocating resources such as manpower, equipment, and vehicles to meet project requirements and deadlines.
- Collaborating with the sales team to develop and implement sales strategies aligned with the company's goals and targets. This includes identifying potential clients, understanding market trends, and creating proposals and presentations to win new business.
- Working closely with the sales team to build and maintain strong relationships with clients. This involves understanding client needs, addressing their concerns, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Collaborating with the operations team to plan and allocate resources effectively to support sales activities. This includes coordinating manpower, equipment, and logistics to meet client requirements and project deadlines.
- Ensuring smooth integration between sales activities and project operations. This includes communicating client expectations, providing input on project feasibility and resource requirements, and managing the handover process from sales to operations teams.
- Monitoring sales performance metrics, such as conversion rates, sales pipeline, and revenue targets. Analyzing data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement in sales and operations processes.
- Planning and executing traffic management projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
- Serving as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing their concerns, providing updates on project progress, and managing client relationships.
- Leading and managing teams of Traffic Controllers, supervisors, and other staff members, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Monitoring and maintaining quality standards in traffic control operations, ensuring work is completed accurately and according to specifications.
- Identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them, including contingency plans for emergencies or unexpected events.
- Identifying areas for improvement in operations, processes, and procedures, and implementing initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Generating reports on operational performance, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and making data-driven decisions to optimize operations.
What you'll bring
- Minimum 3-5 years operations experience within the building and construction industry (Experience within the Traffic Management Industry Highly desirable)
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to identify market opportunities and apply effective sales strategies.
- Ability to motivate and lead a team
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to gain accounts, close deals and exceed achievable targets
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to identify market opportunities and implement effective sales strategies
- Ability to work autonomously and proactively
- Demonstrated ability to work flexibly within tight time schedules and in accordance with variable workload demands
- Demonstrated flexibility and the ability to adapt to new situations and challenges quickly
