About the role We are delighted to announce that we are inviting applications for the role of Trainee MMU Operator based at our Deer Park Quarry sites.Our Trainee MMU Operators form part of a team with significant blasting experience. A safe high performing and supportive environment to enable each employee to succeed in their job role. As a valued member of our team, you will be specifically trained and supported to perform duties within our Blast Crew, as a bench assistant, and to eventually operate an MMU (Mobile Manufacturing Unit). An MMU is a highly advanced Heavy Rigid vehicle fitted with the latest technologies and onboard computer systems and is used to pump explosive products into pre-drilled blast holes on our customer sites.This is an incredible opportunity to kick start your career and develop an exciting career development path with a truly global and market Leading company that genuinely supports your career ambitions. What you will be doing Demonstrating and setting the example of our key company value: “Safety is our Priority, always” at all times acting with integrity and respect.Operating blasting plant and machinery and assisting with preventative maintenance.Working in the field with your teammates to assist with the 'hands-on' delivery of explosive products down pre-drilled blast holes at quarry sites.Working outdoors in a physically demanding environment.Providing excellence in service to our valued customers.Daily administration and customer interactions when required. What you will bring A current Heavy Rigid (HR) driver’s license is preferable.Demonstrated previous experience working outdoors in all weather conditions in a physically demanding environment.The ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening.A motivated self-starter, positive, team-based attitude where you look out for your mates.A basic mechanical comprehension would be highly regarded.
