Located close to the city at Forestville, Ideal Stone manufactures kitchen bench tops, vanity tops, commercial counters/bars etc in products such as Caesarstone, Dekton, Stone Ambassador and natural stones such as granite and marble. Ideal Stone services a wide range of domestic, commercial and renovation customers with state-of-the-art Intermac CNCs, Thiabut CNCs and a Burkhardt CNC bridge saw.
An opportunity has become available for a full-time Trainee Machinist. Full time hours from Monday to Friday with some occasional overtime as required.
As a trainee you will be trained over a period on the following:
- Program and operate both Intermac and Thiabut CNCs & Burkhardt CNC bridgesaw, allocating offcuts, cleaning and maintenance.
- Read and interpret drawings
We are looking for someone with the ability and desire to work to high quality standards
Some CAD / CAM experience would be an advantage but training will be provided
Ability to be flexible and work within a team
The successful applicant will have:
- Current forklift licence (or willing to get one)
- Current car licence
- Will be fit, energetic, enthusiastic and reliable
- Will be a team player
- Ability to learn / adapt to changes and new work practices
This position could suit a school leaver, someone who has recently completed relevant studies or working toward a course, or those seeking a career change.
An hourly rate will be negotiated with the successful person depending on skills and experience.
