Your new company Hays has partnered with a prominent Local Government Area in Sydney's North Shore to find a Trainee Parking Officer to join their compliance team on a causal, ongoing basis. Located on Sydney's North Shore, this council strives to get the best community outcomes for their ratepayers and visitors. This culturally rich, this LGA serves a large CBD and busy Northern Sydney amenities. Your new role Working within the LGA's compliance team, a successful candidate will:
Patrol the LGA on foot and in a vehicle, including school zones, public amenity parking and event parking.
Issue infringements for parking and littering violations.
Educate the public on local laws.
Respond to and resolve parking complaints.
What you'll need to succeed This role is a training role. We are looking for people that have a background in front line retail sales or front-of-house hospitality. The skills that we are looking for are:
Strong verbal and written communication.
Ability to negotiate.
Strong conflict resolution skills.
You will also need to have a full NSW Driving Licence and be fully COVID Vaccinated. What you'll get in return A successful candidate will join a supportive team where they will be taught how to become a Parking Officer. This role is paid hourly at $35/hr + super and will be Monday to Friday, with shifts starting from 07:30 through to 17:00. While this role is initially casual, however it has the potential to go fulltime.
