Are you a technical and ‘hands on’ individual with a passion for learning and the drive to kick start your career?
The purpose of this role will be to provide an entry level springboard into a fully trained Draeger Service Technician. This is a unique and exciting role for our business where we have formalised our comprehensive ‘hands on’ training and provide those looking to enter a rewarding and skilled career, with genuine opportunity for personal and professional growth.
This position allows you to track your own development and learn new things in a supportive and nurturing environment where you will receive regular feedback and salary reviews.
Responsibilities will include:
• Undertake the maintenance, repair & testing of customer products and equipment
• Supply appropriate reports to customers of work conducted and complete
• Maintain accurate service records to provide traceability of documentation
• Prepare quotations for customers in accordance with published company guidelines
• Prepare, negotiate & gain agreement for new and current service contracts
• Generate, develop and maintain Dräger rental business to develop market share
• Deliver to the customer, product user and maintenance training courses in accordance with available modules to provide a technical understanding of the product
• Provide a professional, efficient & reliable level of service to Dräger customers
What are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will have;
• Strong work ethic with the willingness to grow and learn in the role
• Completion of Year 11 or 12
• Ability to effectively learn how to service, repair & maintain the Dräger product range.
• Hold a current driving license
• The ability to read and understand technical documentation & diagrams; to comprehend technical problems presented by customers and provide effective solutions
• Ability to perform routine arithmetic calculations and have an understanding of pricing structures to complete quotations
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English to effectively articulate verbal and written company/ product information
• Proficient in computer operation with the ability to use various software applications including Microsoft office applications.
