Trainee Supply Chain - Automotive

An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic person with growth aspirations to join our well-established and growing company. The role forms part of our Operations Team, based at Artarmon. The successful applicant will become an integral part of our branch and customer service team, and a key support in the day-to-day operations.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, this role requires the applicant to have a strong work ethic and willingness to learn in a supportive environment. The person will ensure prompt, accurate, efficient customer service, good stock control and support to the Customers and Delivery Drivers.

This role is an entry Level Traineeship, providing a fantastic opportunity for starting or changing careers to Warehousing, supporting you to achieve a Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations and gaining a forklift licence if required. A mix of on the job and external training will be provided to the successful candidate.

The role involves the following responsibilities: -

• Maintain a high level of service to all customers in person, electronically and by phone
• Ensuring all orders are processed accurately and dispatched efficiently
• Inventory is received into stock efficiently and accurately
• Involvement in inventory counts and spot checks
• Operate a walk behind forklift within the warehouse
• Have the capability to mix paint or learn to do so

To be eligible for this position you must be punctual, willing to learn, flexible with your day-to-day duties, and must have the following:

• Excellent customer service skills
• WH&S knowledge
• Current NSW Driver's Licence with a good clear record
• The ability to work individually and as part of a team
• Communicate clearly and have a positive can-do attitude
• Have good attention to detail
• IT capable and able to learn new systems
• An interest in the Automotive industry 

Desirable but not essential: -

• First Aid Certified
• Forklift licence
• Customer service or warehousing experience
