About the role
Reporting to the Haulage Manager, as the Trainer Assessor you’ll play a key role in moving this project into its Delivery Phase - bulk ore transportation system assisting with our project in Weipa working on a 8/6 roster. This is a hands on position that will be closely involved with all project phases, functions and personnel.
Your key responsibilities
- Maintain up to date knowledge of all applicable legislation, and standards
- Work with relevant stakeholders to identify training and assessment gaps that need to be addressed
- Ensure training delivery adheres to professional policies, procedures and regulatory bodies
- Ensure training records are tracked and stored in accordance to MRL Company Standards
- Promote, mentor and coach authorised assessors for effective workplace understanding and use of MRL training documents, tools, packages and presentations
- Facilitate MRL employee training and assessment when required
- Maintain training profiles in accordance with the Registered Training Organisation requirements
We’re looking for someone with proven hands on project delivery experience in a similar role, preferably within an iron ore project across a broad scope of disciplines.
What you will bring to the team
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Diploma of Training and Assessment (Desirable)
- Several years demonstrated experience in training and assessing within construction, mining or heavy industrial environment
- Knowledge of training and assessment principles and practices and relevant legislation and standards
- Strong knowledge around training methods
