Trainer and Assessor - Automotive and Carpentry

Alliance College is seeking trainers and Assessors to join our team to deliver training in the following qualifications:

• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology 
• Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis
• Certificate III in Carpentry 

About Alliance College 

Alliance College is a privately owned Registered Training Organisation (RTO) based in CBD Adelaide. Established in 1981 and is one of the most experienced hospitality schools in Australia. The college specialises in Automotive, Hospitality, Cookery, ELICOS, Business and Carpentry training and delivers training to both local and international students.

The Opportunity
We are currently seeking engaging, experienced and qualified Trainers and Assessors with current industry currency to deliver training to both our international and local students. Our training will assist students in developing their pathway to gain entry to local and interstate universities or finding long-term sustainable employment opportunities, depending on their ultimate goals and aspirations.

Key responsibilities of this role

• Conduct dynamic training & assessment sessions
• Assess students' knowledge, skills, and abilities through practical exams, projects, and theoretical assessments.
• Follow up outstanding assessment
• Record and resulting assessment
• Liaise with administration
• Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to enhance their professional growth.
• Development and enhancement of learning and assessment material
• Ensure all materials, assessment plans, assessment tools are current, sufficient, valid and reliable
• Ensure that assessments meet the requirements of the endorsed components of Training Packages and the outcomes specified in accredited courses within the scope of registration.
• Ensure that assessments, regardless of whether through a training and assessment pathway or an assessment only pathways comply with relevant standards and requirements at all times
• Ensure that high quality training and assessment standards are maintained at all times
• Promote training courses throughout the community through individual contact and other means

Desirable skills and qualifications for this role

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110 OR TAE40116) or a diploma or higher-level qualification in adult education
• Vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed
• Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided
• Previous VET Sector / RTO experience
• Energetic, positive and enthusiastic attitude
• Proven ability to effectively teach, mentor, and assess individuals in vocational education and training (VET) environment
• A flexible and adaptive attitude
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Availability to teach on evenings and weekends is desirable*
