About the Role
TMT is seeking a motivated and reliable trainer and Safety Consultant to join their high-performing team on a full-time basis. Remuneration will be negotiated depending on the experience level and expertise of the individual trainer/consultant.
The role will be a mix of face to face training, online training and assessment and of course consultancy in WHS with both existing and future clients. We aim to provide a varied role to challenge our team.
Subject Areas
TMT is seeking a trainer who is able to deliver and assess the following competencies (those with only a limited number of the below competencies are still encouraged to apply):
- Confined Space Entry / Gas Test Atmospheres / Breathing Apparatus
- Working Safely at Heights
- First Aid / CPR / LVR
- Non-Friable Asbestos Removal and Supervision
- Fire Safety and First Response
- Risk Management
- Mining Competencies – G1, G2, G8, G9
Who should apply?
We are flexible with this position, encouraging both those with extensive experience who can hit the ground running or individuals who are looking to move into this area to apply as we have an existing group of Trainer/Consultants who will be able to mentor and guide you.
Qualifications, Skills and Equipment
- Safety
- Qualifications and/or experience in providing Health and Safety solutions
- Knowledge and application of state safety legislation, in particular Queensland and the Northern Territory.
- Training
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or its successor), or a higher qualification in Adult Vocational Education
- Evidence of competency in the above units you are able to train and assess
- General
- Absolute professionalism in dealing with TMT clients is paramount
- Strong time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, multi-task and work under pressure with a ‘can do’ attitude
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including responsiveness to emails and phone calls
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to accurately follow procedures and correctly fill in paperwork
- Digital literacy with regards to scanning, uploading of documentation, use of presentation software, and ability to navigate their own computer equipment
