About the role
Supported and mentored by senior management, the role will include the delivery of a range of consulting and audit services. Key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Developing, implementing and training in Management Systems across: ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
- Managing client compliance requirements to prepare, achieve and maintain accreditation with applicable regulatory bodies (such as ISO, TMR, OFSC, DIPL, PQC, NHVR)
- Acting on behalf of clients in the capacity of in-house WHS (at corporate and project levels)
- Facilitating risk assessments, audits, investigations, and reviews
- Researching, interpreting, and providing advice on legal and regulatory requirements
- Conducting ISO audits on behalf of 3rd party JASANZ accredited bodies
- Developing and reviewing documentation (such as policies, procedures, WHSMP’s, SWMS’, project documentation and management system resources)
- Supporting others within the team in the delivery of services where required.
Important: This role requires regular away travel to client offices / projects throughout Australia (primarily Queensland).
Your Experience
Your experience, both direct and indirect, will be considered for this role. Key experience that will see candidates succeed in this role are:
- Interpretation and application of relevant health and safety legislation, regulation, standards and codes of practice
- General technical knowledge across a range of disciplines (for example, high risk work, safety observations/inspections, emergency response, achieving/monitoring/maintaining compliance to defined criteria)
- Strong communication and engagement skills of group audiences to deliver key information
- Report writing to address defined criteria/findings and establish practical solutions to achieve best/intended outcomes.
About you – Qualifications & Skills
To be successful in this role, we are seeking candidates who maintain or can demonstrate the following:
- Certificate IV in Workplace/Occupational Health and Safety (minimum)
- Strong computer acumen and high level of attention to detail
- Working knowledge of WHS legislation & Codes of Practice
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Effective time management and prioritisation skills
- A current drivers’ licence.
