The role
ScopeIT Education is the leading innovator in the Australian and NZ education sector. We deliver professionally-developed coursework directly to Australian schools. We are currently recruiting Assistant Instructors to join our Lower North Shore team.
Working as an Instructor you will engage with primary school students, in the classroom, guiding them through our structured courses that would meet Australian and NSW curriculum outcomes. You will work with another instructor to run classes and provide assistance to students as they create their projects.

Employment summary
- Terms of employment: Casual 10-20 hours per week (to be agreed in advance of each school term)
- Operate during school hours (typically from 8am to 3pm)
- Rate: AUD$30 per hour + super
We require well-spoken, well-presented instructors who can confidently assist and lead a classroom of primary school students in fun and engaging lessons. You will be provided with full training on our processes and courses. Course topics include computer programing and robotics. Experience and interest in computer science and technology and children are important to the role – full training will be provided.
This role will be well suited to parents or community members from the local area with interest and skillset in digital technologies. We are going to help shape the great minds of the future generation and would like a capable positive person to join our team in doing so.
Criteria
- ‘Working With Children’ background check is required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with enthusiasm and drive
- Experience and interest in computer science and digital technology
- Confidence to manage and able to manage students in classrooms and working group environment
- Ability to work independently and in a team with another instructor in the classroom
- Proactive self-management and willing to undertake continuous training and self-development
- Punctual, responsible and reliable
- Own transport to travel independently within Mosman, North Sydney, Cammeray, Chatswood, Northbridge, Willoughby, Randwick and surrounding area
- Teaching experience is an advantage
Training
Staff will be required to complete a mandatory training prior to commencement. This will be provided at no extra cost. On going training will be provided as the staff progress to teach more technical subjects in digital technology so willingness to learn is very important to us to ensure that our staff is always kept up to date.
