About The Role
The Training & Development Officer principal role is to work closely with the other department managers to design and deliver effective training programs, fostering professional growth within each business area. They will work with the national People and Culture team to ensure recruitment, training, and development align with national standards.
Key Role Responsibilities and Requirements
As the Training & Development Officer, you will:
- Deliver various training programs to a diverse and broad employee group focusing on Hospitality, Customer Service and safety.
- Collaborate with all department heads to develop training programs and workshops to align with the business's strategic goals and employee development needs.
- Maintain an ongoing skills gap analysis to ensure training solutions are targeted and effective.
- Provide the People & Culture Manager with monthly reporting of developed and completed training, workshops undertaken and apparent gaps.
- Develop assessment strategies to measure training programs' effectiveness and gather participant feedback.
- Ensure the business complies with all industry regulations and standards through appropriate training initiatives. I.e. RSA, Food Safety Supervisor, First Aid.
- Utilise all available training methods, including workshops, on the job training and virtual learning.
- Work with the People and Culture team during peak recruiting periods to assist with onboarding and inductions.
- Work with the People and Culture team to collaborate on national training initiatives and ensure adherence to national standards.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Valid First Aid Certificate (essential)
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (essential)
- Certificate IV in training and assessment (essential)
- Maritime qualification (desired)
