Form of workAs the Training Lead on an SAP implementation project, you are responsible for managing the training and education aspects of the project, ensuring that end-users, administrators, and other stakeholders are equipped with the necessary skills to effectively use the SAP system.
Responsibilities:
Needs Assessment: Work with key stakeholders to identify and analyse the training needs of various user groups within the organisation. This involves understanding the specific SAP modules being implemented and the roles and responsibilities of different users.
Training Strategy Development: Develop a comprehensive training strategy that outlines the overall approach to training, including methodologies, timelines, target audiences, and training delivery methods.
Training Plan Creation: Develop a detailed training plan that outlines the specific training activities, schedules, and resources required throughout the different phases of the SAP implementation project. This plan may include training sessions, workshops, documentation, and e-learning modules.
Training Material Development: Create or oversee the development of training materials such as user manuals, job aids, video tutorials, and any other resources needed to support effective learning. Ensure that the materials align with the organisation's processes and the configured SAP system.
Training Delivery: Coordinate and conduct training sessions for end-users, super users, and administrators. This may involve both classroom training and virtual training sessions, depending on the project's requirements and the geographical distribution of users.
User Support: Provide ongoing support to end-users during and after the SAP implementation. Address user questions, concerns, and issues related to system usage, and ensure that there is a mechanism for continuous support.
Feedback and Evaluation: Gather feedback from training sessions and evaluate the effectiveness of the training programs. Use this feedback to make improvements to training materials and delivery methods as needed.
Change Management: Collaborate with the change management team to ensure that training is integrated into the broader change management strategy. Help users understand the benefits of the SAP implementation and facilitate a smooth transition.
Coordination with Project Teams: Work closely with the project team, including SAP consultants, project managers, and other stakeholders, to align training activities with the overall project timeline and milestones.
Certification and Assessment: If applicable, develop certification programs and assessment mechanisms to validate that users have acquired the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively using the SAP system.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and user progress. Provide regular reports to project leadership on the status of training efforts and any issues or concerns that may impact the project.
