This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join AWLQ as a Training Officer!
The role
Reporting to our Human Resources Manager, you will be an integral member of our HR Training Team. This is primarily a Gold Coast, Coombabah based position, with some regular travel to our Brisbane and Ipswich sites to facilitate scheduled training.
AWLQ values our extensive volunteering team who are committed to supporting the organisation and work continuously to provide a better future for the animals in our care. The major component of this role is to administer, induct, onboard, roster, train and coach our wonderful volunteering team. Induction will be facilitated at the Coombabah site every second Saturday and Beenleigh one Saturday a month, with additional inductions as required.
Other responsibilities include:
- Provide a suite of training to volunteers and employees at our other sites.
- Facilitate / co-facilitate programs to the public.
- Review training compliance.
- Assist with administering the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Develop training material with the HR team.
- Opportunity to be involved in special projects.
About you
- You will be an engaging facilitator who enjoys interacting with and coaching with people.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with training, educating or coaching is required.
- Intermediate experience with MS Suite.
- LMS experience is an advantage.
- Although this role is primarily in the Gold Coast area, you will also travel to Ipswich and Brisbane sites.
Key criteria
- Relevant training and facilitation qualification
- Able to work a Tues to Sat roster
- Drivers Licence
- Police Check and a Blue Card for working with children will be required
