We are seeking an experienced Training Operations and HSE Manager with a background in the Electrical Supply Industry. This individual will lead the training and HSE initiatives, offering expert technical and industry related training, along with OH&S support. Additionally, as a member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), they will contribute to identifying avenues for revenue growth and operational enhancement.
The Role:
Key Tasks and Duties:
- Leadership of the Training Operations Team, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives.
- Analyse financial data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improving profitability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients.
- Establish and enforce quality standards and procedures to ensure the delivery of high-quality training services.
- Management of Thomson Bridge's Health and Safety environment.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices related to training products and services.
- Develop comprehensive training strategies aligned with organisational objectives and industry standards.
- Identify and engage subject matter experts to contribute to the development and delivery of training programs.
- Establish criteria and processes for selecting qualified trainers with appropriate expertise and credentials.
- Comply with Training Processes and Procedures.
- Assess equipment and facility needs for training activities and ensure adequate resources are available.
- Management of Qualifications – RPL, eLogBook use, Apprenticeship.
- Management of the Training Database.
The Person
The role requires someone who will take pride in delivering a quality product across a wide variety of work assignments.
You must have:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior ESI lead role.
- Training delivery skills and compliance knowledge especially in the VET and GWO sectors
- Experience in the electrical services industry or related industry.
- Minimum Cert IV in Work Health & Safety.
- Previous experience as Health & Safety and Environmental subject matter expert.
- Ideally, Prior experience in an RTO or Training Services organisation.
- Ideally, delivery of services within a quality accredited organisation.
- Excellent client engagement and communication skills
- Excellent training delivery skills and knowledge ideally in the VET and GWO sectors
- Effective management of resources and budgets against programming constraints
- Excellent business and report writing skills
- Can use critical thinking and collaboration skills with confidence to solve problems.
