About the role
Reporting into the General Manager of Safety, People and Training, you will be responsible for Leading the Training & Competency Team in developing, implementing and managing the MinRes Training Framework and it associated requirements, ensuring all employees and contractors have the appropriate skills for their position, and are compliant with relevant regulatory requirements.

  • Lead a team to provide direct support and solutions to site based operations relating to training and assessment systems and processes
  • Design develop and review the MinRes Training Framework with a focus on meeting legislative requirements, meeting the needs of the business and striving for leading practice.
  • Support key stakeholders in understanding the MinRes Training Framework, Systems and processes to enable them to make informed decisions
  • Leverage your understanding of the Training Management System and its data to influence and advise the business
  • Administer performance based reports to Leaders within the business regarding compliance, complaince trainer performance and authorised assessor compliance
  • Facilitate Training Pathways to develop internal talent into training and assessing roles
  • Lead investigations relating to training and assessment conduct issues
  • Look for opportunities for innovation in training, assessment and compliance activities to improve processes and efficiencies
What you'll bring to the team
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment 40116 or above
  • 10 years + in the resource sector
  • Experience leading a training team
  • WHS Act & Regs knowledge
  • VET Compliance understanding and experience
