Job Description
What will a day in this role look like:
- Carrying out Line route planning and selection using ArcGIS.
- Using PLS-CADD to carry out design of transmission and distribution lines from feasibility and concept stage to detailed and construction designs, as well as commissioning and post-construction phases.
- Undertake Electrical design of Transmission Lines (for Electrical Engineers).
- Undertaking modelling of structures using PLS-TOWER, PLS-POLE and design of respective foundations (for Civil/Structural Engineers).
- Develop construction drawings and author technical reports per AECOM and Client standards and guidelines.
- Training and mentoring of junior design engineers.
Qualifications

What are we looking for from you?
- At least 5 years of relevant Transmission Lines industry experience
- In depth knowledge of transmission line design up to 330kV and higher voltage levels
- Excellent organisation with strong communication skills, self-motivated and a team player
- Site experience / experience in projects being constructed
- University degree in Electrical, Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering
- Proficient in PLS software packages
