Transport Allocator/ Coordinator

Statewest Civil supply & deliver any inert materials such as stone, quarry products, sand, limestone, road base, recycled products and bulk raw materials to be transported to any earthworks project in WA.

We have a network of approved disposal sites for virgin excavated materials & strong associations with Licensed Landfill Facilities for contaminated wastes.

Statewest Civil is licensed to cart contaminated inert waste.

Statewest operates a fleet of 22-30 tonne pay load semi tippers for bulk tipper haulage.

What does the job look like?

Responsible for the day-to-day transport activities, you will ensure appropriate trucks are available to meet demand whilst maintaining a safe working environment for employees and our sub-contracting partners. Key areas:

• Allocate work daily drivers to deliver operational efficiency.
• Build and maintain an effective and successful relationship with customers and truck drivers
• Plan efficient materials to be delivered /timeslots with a focus on safety and COR
• Validation of order information from the customer and assignment of loads/ tonnes to drivers
• Responsible for managing site OH&S policies & procedures ensuring compliance

Are you the one?

The Transport Coordinator is the key customer contact responsible for meeting the service expectations of our customer, and an exciting opportunity for development. You can demonstrate:

• Experience in a similar role within a transport operations or customer service environment
• An understanding of heavy vehicle safety and compliance
• Exposure to a data entry software with a highly developed attention to detail
• Strong work ethic with a passion for industry and commitment to continuous improvement
• Experience using Excel will be highly regarded
• Ability to adapt to changing demands and pressures
• be able to think on your feet if a project is changed or cancelled.
