What does the job look like?
Become a valuable addition to our vibrant team at Linfox, situated in Dandenong South, as an Allocator. This role is on the PM shift working 4pm to 4am on a rolling 4 on 4 off roster. This is an essential role in the retail business unit, where your expertise will have a substantial influence. Don't miss out on this thrilling opportunity in the logistics sector – apply today! Key areas
- Determine and arrange the daily schedule and vehicle requirements according to volume and customers’ requirements
- Liaising with customers for load requirements ensuring enough time is allocated for staging and loading
- Monitoring drivers’ fatigue – this includes drivers declaration and run sheet checks
- Driving the commitment to Linfox Safety Standards at all times
- Providing excellent customer service and representing Linfox in a professional manner
- Good knowledge of Chain of Responsibility and road transport legislation
Are you the one?
You possess a background in coordinating logistics and excel in a high-paced setting. You can demonstrate:
- Previous experience in the transport industry
- Working knowledge of relevant Australian transport rules and regulation including Chain of Responsibility
- Effective customer interaction and issue resolution skills
- Strong work ethic with a passion for industry and commitment to continuous improvement
- Demonstrated understanding of managing priorities in the workplace with a high attention to detail
