Transport Clerk

Benara Nurseries is the leading production nursery in Western Australia providing quality Green life products to the retail market throughout Australia.

Working closely with the Transport Manager, the Transport Clerk is responsible for scheduling and overseeing our team of drivers who deliver to customers across metro Perth and regional WA.

What this entails is:

• Allocating the delivery runs and organising the drivers to ensure deliveries are on time.
• Scheduling the work in the most cost effective manner to utilise all vehicles and equipment efficiently.
• Ensure the trucks maintenance schedules are carried out on time.
• Hours of work are 76 per fortnight generally carried out between 2pm and 10pm. 

About you:

Ideally you are a person who enjoys problem solving and prioritising work in a fast paced environment. You will have previous experience as a TRANSPORT CLERK or currently work in the transport and logistics industry.  Our ideal applicant will have:

• Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
• High level of attention to detail
• Commitment to safety.
• Computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
• Excellent organisational skills to maximise operational planning
• Sound knowledge of metro Perth and regional Western Australia.
• Current WA Drivers Licence.

Ideally, but not essential you will have an:

• Understanding and knowledge of transport and vehicle laws and regulations.
• HR licence.
• Forklift Certificate
