ELX is a 24 hours a day / 7 days a week operation and are seeking a Transport Co-Ordinator who is passionate and excited to join a growing South Australian family owned business.

The Transport Coordinator is responsible for the provision of a range of coordination tasks covering off various aspects of warehousing, projects and freight services. 

Responsible for the day-to-day coordination functions of the warehouse and broader transport functions. 

This role also provides assistance to leadership and management around meeting contractual KPI expectations.

This is a Full Time Position from Monday to Friday with a rotating weekend coverage as required,  based at Largs North.

Key Tasks

  • Reviewing & Approving Consignment Requests within the required timeframe.
  • Processing consignment notes and SPA’s/Purchase Orders in a timely manner.
  • Generate and distribute Daily Operational Updates.
  • Handling client questions & queries, and assisting with priority freight requirements.
  • Allocations for local runs & completing SPA’s/Purchase Orders.
  • Maintaining client references, special instructions and notes for jobs.
  • Driver bookings and driver packs including Journey Management Plans and updating internal schedules on a daily basis.
  • Liaising with our Operations Manager for additional equipment & resourcing requirements as needed.
  • Handling Interstate & Intrastate Full Loads.
  • Coordination of Hot Shot & priority loads aligned with communicating with the clients.
  • Liaising with subcontractors as required.
  • Coordination of incoming and outgoing international shipments.
  • Completing a range of other administrative functions.
  • Maintain our safety and compliance standards at all times.
  • Ensuring KPI’s are met or exceeded at all times.

Prerequisites

  • Microsoft Office & IT system experience required.
  • Forklift Licence and experience preferred, but not required.
  • Dangerous Goods knowledge advantageous, but not required.
  • You will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical.
