You will work closely with our Logistics Manager’s based on Miles, Chinchilla and Toowoomba and be responsible for handling reservations, customer service, sales, and logistics. Comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided to equip you with the necessary skills to excel in this multifaceted role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control the activities of Murrays drivers and fleet to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Ensure adherence to shift checklists and company procedures.
- Travel between sites regularly and as required.
- Communicate professionally with drivers via various channels.
- Handle vehicle, customer, and driver issues with a calm and helpful attitude, escalating when necessary.
- Perform customer service, logistics, sales, and reservations duties in accordance with company standards.
- Familiarise yourself with and adhere to company policies and procedures, including workplace health and safety, safe work methods, and drug and alcohol policies.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in transport operations or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing responsibilities.
- LR or MR licence an advantage
