John Hughes Group has been a market leader in the Western Australian Automotive sector for over 50 years. Our vehicle transport department in Welshpool is offering a permanent full time Transport & Logistics Coordinator to supervise, manage and lead our team of drivers and yard hands. The role would ideally suit an individual with high levels of organisational, communication and time management skills. To effect the planning and implementation to deliver and collect new, used and customer vehicles for the departments within the organisation. The John John Groups has four sales and service yards spread across the greater Perth CBD and numerous wholesale location.
Your roll includes:
- Co-ordinate and plan truck movements efficiently to meet client requirements
- Manage employees to maintain processes for vehicle stocking
- Registering incoming work and co-ordinating the timely completion of deliveries.
- Liaison with clients and rostering truck drivers to suit demand.
- Ensure operations are conducted in accordance with WA regulations.
- Scheduling maintenance in accordance with manufacturer specifications
Required:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in transport or logistics with supervisory duties
- Knowledge of Transport Regulations including Fatigue and Chain of Responsibility
- Ability to lead, delegate and preform to a high standard
- Current Drivers Licence
- Knowledge of Perth Metropolitan area
- Strong verbal, written communication and computer skills
