Due to growth and new business opportunities, we are currently seeking experienced Transport Operations Supervisor for our Kewdale, WA facility. This permanent full-time role offers great career prospects and an attractive salary package within a global logistics corporation.

Responsibilities:
- Schedule and allocate all wharf container transport requests and deliveries and determine subcontractor requirements for your defined operational portfolio to achieve DIFOT.
- Monitor driver fatigue in accordance with Company and legislative requirements.
- Analyse equipment and operational tasks to determine safe and effective resource utilisation, route optimisation, and subcontractor allocation.
- Prepare and analyse reports to assess performance against key performance indicators and business plans.
- Ensure all scheduled maintenance and repairs are undertaken in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure compliance with safety requirements and applicable industry & Company standards.
- Liaise with customers as required to resolve issues.
- Provide operational guidance to drivers on freight type, vehicle requirements, load restraints, and load placement.
- Review procedures, processes, and practices to identify opportunities for Improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all OH&S requirements and adhering to the company Occupational Health & Safety Policy
- Correctly using PPE where required and/or instructed by Supervisor/ Manager
- Adhering to and being active within the site Emergency Response Plan (ERP)
- Reporting hazards and participating in risk assessments where relevant
- Apply safe working practices and regulations complying with WHS legislation.
- Understanding in booking and planning for bulk stack container runs ex major shipping terminals within limited schedules
- Coordination the booking of container timeslots for customer deliveries to site via sideloader equipment
- Other additional duties as directed by management.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years' experience leading a team and managing assets in a road routing transport operation to deliver business objectives.
- Working knowledge of wharf booking systems such as 1-Stop and Container Chain is essential
- Experience in effectively managing the timely dehire of shipping containers to ensure no penalty or detention fees are incurred is essential
- working knowledge of the Australian Dangerous Goods guidelines pertaining to transport by road and sea for both packaged and bulk dangerous goods is essential
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the application of NHVAS, CoR (Fatigue Management, Load planning, and Mass Management), Dangerous Goods Awareness, and Segregation requirements.
- Well-developed communication skills, both oral and written
- Demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Extensive working knowledge of the geography of WA
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and basic WMS/TMS software.
- Knowledge and understanding of WH&S requirements.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines, achieve performance and productivity targets.
- Ability to comply with Company policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
