Zenith Search, led by Ollie Rogers, is seeking a skilled Transport Scheduler for our client in the logistics industry. This temporary position is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your expertise in optimizing fleet operations and managing daily logistics activities.
Position Overview: Our client is in need of a talented Transport Scheduler to join their team for the afternoon shift. You will be pivotal in optimizing fleet allocation, coordinating Full Container Load (FCL) movements, and ensuring the smooth operation of their container division. The role is ideal for someone who can work independently and is comfortable collaborating with yard staff and drivers during the night shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Optimize fleet allocation and management
- Coordinate FCL movements between the wharf, rail, and customer premises
- Oversee the daily allocation of work
- Ensure accurate and timely updates in the tracking system
Requirements:
- Previous experience in transport or container scheduling
- Knowledge of Heavy Vehicle accreditation (desirable)
- Familiarity with Translogix and MT Data operating systems (desirable but not essential)
- Ability to work independently and manage night shifts
- Comfortable working with yard staff and drivers
Role Details:
- PM shift starting around 12pm
- Competitive flat rate of $35-40 per hour- depending on experience
- Free on-site employee parking
