This position is a solo-operation role and carries a significant amount of responsibility. You will complete your tasks with pride, taking ownership in serving our customers in the wider Cairns region.Day to day tasks include multi-stop pickups and deliveries, scanning of the freight, completion of the appropriate paperwork and liaising with our customers. Once you have returned to the depot, you will unload the truck, complete tipping of bins, cleaning the bins and reloading the truck for the next days activity. You will also be responsible for stocktaking supplies and maintaining the site.About you:To be successful in this role, you will have the following:
- Valid manual MR licence (minimum), with clean driving record
- Previous commercial driving experience, multi drop preferred
- Dangerous goods ticket preferred (not essential, training provided)
- Willingness to take a Pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol test
- Willingness to undertake a National Police Criminal History Check
- Forklift Licence
- Job security - this is a Full-time, permanent role working Monday to Friday
- Hourly rate of $35.88 per hour plus super and OT
- $100 per week leading hand allowance
