About the Role
The JBS Carriers team are currently recruiting an experienced logistics professional to join the team as a full-time Transport Supervisor. Based at Riverview (Ipswich), the successful candidate will have a natural inclination to be a great leader, who thrives on driving a culture of continuous improvement and supporting management to ensure a safe and smooth daily business operation.
This position will be supporting the afternoon shift team and your working hours will be 4pm to 12am; Monday to Friday.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring movement to meet operational demands and schedules
- Coordinating with drivers and dispatchers to ensure timely delivery and pick up schedules
- Promoting a safe, positive work environment whilst maintaining alignment with company policies
- Utilising company assets and contractors in a cost-effective manner
- Managing customer relations
- Ensuring all legislative requirements are met
About You
- Previous experience in transport, logistics, refrigerated freight movements and allocations
- Knowledge of transport regulations including Fatigue, Chain of Responsibility and Mass and Maintenance under NHVR
- Proficient user or transport systems and MS Office
- Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to achieve overall objectives of a business
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Energetic, passionate and enthusiastic with a demonstrated focus on system improvement
- Flexibility to take calls as required on weekends
- Current Drivers Licence
