The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced accounts professional with payroll experience, to work collaboratively with our outsourced finance provider and supervise a small team.
The key objectives of this role are to:
- Be the key internal point of contact for all accounts and payroll queries
- Work collaboratively with the external finance provider, preparing all necessary information for the processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, expenses, general bookkeeping, and payroll
- Supervise a small team of accounts professionals to support the daily financial administrative functions.
For this role, we need 5 days coverage per week, although can support school work hours (approximately 9:30am - 2:30pm).
Your experience
Cultural fit is very important to us, so we are firstly looking for an enthusiastic team player who draws value from supporting an NFP helping the local community. Additionally you will need to have:
- Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll with supporting qualifications (at least a Cert IV in financial services or accounting discipline)
- Experience working with MYOB
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy with ability to investigate issues and find solutions
- Technically competent in Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Strong and clear English speaking communication, and
- Be a positive and collaborative team member who shares in the team’s success.
