Transport Team Leader

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Transport Team Leader to join the team at our brand new Distribution Centre.About the roleThe Transport The Transport Team Leader is a critical role within the AU Distribution Centre and as such will play a key part in the success of stock and fixture movements through the business.
Reporting to the Warehouse and Distribution Manager, this role is responsible for the timely dispatch of Retail, Ecommerce and Wholesale orders, ensuring any delays are monitored, reported on, and communicated to the relevant party in a timely manner.
This role will also be responsible for the ongoing support, development, growth and guidance of direct reports within the distribution centre to actively promote team member engagement and ensuring operational effectiveness and integrity are maintained to reduce the risk of customer service failures.Key Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate all Inbound and Outbound freight movements
• Ensure accurate receipt and dispatch of goods
• Co-ordinate with DSV, the arrival of all Inbound Containers and LCL's and distribute Container Schedule to all parties.
• Organise the freight for all new store openings and also any the extraction of stock and fixtures from store closures
• In conjunction with the Inventory Team Leader organise the DAFF Inspections as required.
• Optimise the efficiency of our transportation operations while adhering to budgetary constraints.
• Daily labour resourcing for decanting containers
• Manage the storage, presentation and movement of T2 Fixtures through the Supply Chain.
• Leading contributor into the promotion of our Safety culture. Working closely with the DC Manager on resolving Safety Champion items, conducting Risk Assessments and refreshing SWP's.

About You

• Forklift Licence (required)
• Elevated Work Platform Yellow Card (EWP) (preferred)
• Previous experience in a similar role will be highly regarded
• Customer centric and collaborative approach to work and decision making
• Highly planned & organised
• Can adapt to work changes and priorities
• Ability to inspire others and lead chang
