About the Role
The Team Leader, Dandenong is responsible for the successful planning, organising and delivery of assigned maintenance programs for Dandenong teams using internal and/or external resources within the prescribed budget, timeframe and HSEQ requirements.This position reports to the Delivery Manager, Metro, and directly manages the Works Supervisors and Program Support Engineers in Lilydale depot. The role works closely with the Program Development Leads, other Team Leaders, and SRS Senior HSEQ and Risk Advisers.
The Team Leader is accountable for working collaboratively with industry partners and leading a team of experts to ensure delivery of work packages that maintain roadside infrastructure and the environment against contract requirements and support innovation of road maintenance practices to drive best practice safety and performance outcomes.

Delivery of Work Packages – Develop work packages to meet road serviceability requirements in accordance with the Road Management Act and DTP’s Road Management Plan.
Minimised Impact on Road Users – Effectively utilised available resources and planned work packages as part of a coordinated program to minimise impact on road users.
Stakeholder Management – Developed effective relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure that all available information and expertise is applied to the development and execution of work packages.
Work Package Assurance – Provided assurance that executed work packages meet client requirements by ensuring adherence to the administration of the DTP Road Management Plan requirements.
Effective People Leadership – The Team Leader provides effective leadership, people management and support to their team. Staff are engaged with high levels of cohesion and commitment and are delivering on the services required.

Qualifications and Experience
Mandatory
Understanding of Asset Maintenance Management Systems
Strong knowledge of the Road Management Plan
Strong understanding of Maintenance Specification Section 750
Desirable
Experience in the delivery of infrastructure capital and maintenance works.
Experience leading and managing road maintenance delivery teams within a commercial and performance-based environment.
Role Specific Requirements
Driver’s License
Ability and willingness to travel and work across locations within metropolitan and regional Victoria.
