About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales Consultant to join our retail Travel & experience team and provide exceptional travel experiences to our members and customers.
This could be just the right role for you?
You will be responsible for managing the customer experience from beginning to end, converting sales to meet targets, creating long lasting relationships that foster repeat business for return travellers and a high level of member and customer satisfaction. Your key responsibilities for the role include:
Face to face & online customer service, manage new enquiries, amendments and cancellations
Facilitate domestic & international travel bookings and payments between travellers and suppliers
Manage travel credits, refunds and changes
Cross sell & up sell products
Attend sales meetings and achieve target KPIs
Attend industry events ie. supplier & product events, ship inspections & travel expos
Our team work Monday – Friday 9am-5pm, with the requirement to attend occasional out of office industry events. The business may consider increasing to 7 day trading in the future, with a requirement for staff to work weekends.
What you’ll need to be successful
Certificate 3 in Travel, or higher preferred
2+ years’ experience in Retail Travel Agency, preferred
Passion for travel industry and personal travel experience, preferred
Flight booking experience using a GDS, preferably Amadeus, preferred
Strong customer service & communication skills
Outstanding organisational, attention to detail & problem solving skills
Ability to manage workflow, set goals, meet sales targets & work productively
