You will be contributing to the delivery of the Treasury team’s key outputs including the management and support of key corporate models and preparation of government submissions. Being front and centre of service delivery, you will ensure Corporate Treasury management activities adhere to the Corporation’s Treasury Risk Management Policy. This includes activities relating to liquidity and funding, interest rates, foreign exchange, debt and other treasury operations.
You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with a strategic focus in developing skill sets and relationships, with both internal and external stakeholders.
You’ll be based in Leederville. It’s a lively suburb, 5 minutes from Perth’s CBD. There’s plenty of places to eat and hang out, and you’re only 5-minutes away from the nearest train station - an easy commute when you’re heading into the office.
What the role will involve:
You will have the opportunity to use your exceptional problem-solving skills, utilising your previous experience in analysing and understanding financial data. You will be following and interpreting financial market activity daily. You will work with key external customers and stakeholders, putting your partnering and communication skills to good use. You will have the opportunity to do things on a bigger scale with exposure to varied frameworks and associated models, whilst working as part of a collaborative and dynamic team who embrace diversity and support a strong work life balance.
Key skills and experience:
- Degree level qualification in Economics, Accounting, Finance or Business
- Experience in treasury or financial management activity within a large commercial organisation
- Considerable experience in developing and analysing financial models using computer based analytical and corporate information systems
