The work area

This role sits within the Utilities, Ports and Climate Directorate which is part of the Agency Budgeting and Governance business unit. We are a high-performing team that works on some of the State’s most complex projects and issues on matters relating to government agencies and State-owned corporations across the electric, water and ports sector, and provides advice on climate change related policies and programs.

The opportunity

Are you passionate about exciting and meaningful work that will make a difference to outcomes for people in Western Australia? We are looking for a team player who can build long term valuable relationships with its internal and external stakeholders.

In this role, you will work closely alongside your team members and with the Assistant Director to provide advice on matters relating to the utilities authorities to inform Government decision making, therefore the ability to critically analyse complex issues, build and maintain effective working relationships and deliver advice clearly and concisely is critical.

We are looking for a proactive individual who can work both autonomously and as part of a larger team to deliver on key outputs. The ability to communicate effectively when providing strategic advice and be able to meet tight and competing deadlines is critical. 

We currently have one (1) permanent full-time opportunity available to be filled.
