Trust Accountant

This is a pivotal support role for an experienced Trust Accountant who is eager to manage the rental and/or sales trust for a variety of our clients. We provide flexible employment opportunities for the right candidates. 

What you’ll be doing:

• Day to day trust accounting activities
• Conduct month end close procedures
• Ensure our client’s trust accounts are managed in compliance to state-based legislations and acts
• Contribute to internal best practices and procedures
• Collaborating with various stakeholders to understand business drivers, goals and actionable outcomes

What you’ll bring to the table:

• Minimum of 2 year's rental and/or sales trust experience in real estate
• Proven experience with using trust accounting programs such as PropertyTree, PropertyMe, Box+Dice, AgentBox, VaultRE, Cirrus8
• Experience with general accounting software Xero and/or MYOB (preferred, but not essential)
• High attention to detail and able to problem solve
• Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)
• Proven history in customer service
• Highly motivated and task-focused
• Excellent time management and strong organisational skills
• The ability to autonomously plan your workload and focus on the right priorities
• A sound knowledge of trust accounting compliance and act requirements
• Proven competency with Microsoft Word and Excel
