The Role:
As the TrustAccountant you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless management of our trust accounts, alongside handling essential bookkeeping tasks. Your meticulous attention to detail and superior organizational skills will uphold our commitment to excellence within the business.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Manage and oversee trust account operations for a property management portfolio.
- Handle daily receipting and ensure accurate bank reconciliations.
- Enter invoices and process payments for creditors, owners, and agencies.
- Prepare monthly trust account reconciliations and reports to meet real estate licensing trust account requirements.
- Ensure compliance with legislation regarding the investment of trust funds.
- Provide support to Property Managers by managing ledgers and addressing owner/tenant queries.
- Managing Accounts Payable and creditor payments.
- Respond to client queries in relation to monthly reports.
- Preparation of yearly property outgoings, preparation of tenant reconciliations and year property budgets and forecasts
- Assist with GST and BAS lodgment, as well as budgeting and forecasting reports.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Trust Accountant / Administrator
- Proficiency in Property Management software experience highly regarded.
- Strong command of the Microsoft Office suite.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with excellent time management skills.
- Proven track record of handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Collaborative team player with a proactive attitude.
